TTi Global’s Afghan Mission Moves Forward, states Lori Blaker President/CEO

TTi Global continues its global expansion with the trailblazing efforts of President/CEO Lori Blaker. Returning home from her second trip to Afghanistan on September 9th, Blaker moved forward with plans to establish an office in the capital city of Kabul.

Lori Blaker met with senior officials at USAID and Afghani representatives to discuss challenges related to workforce development and capacity building. Highlights from this visit included a meeting with Dr. Daoud Ali Najafi Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation and Minister Barmack, of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD). Blaker also met with local service repair facilities owners to determine critical training needs.

Earlier this year, TTi Global was one of twelve U.S. companies to participate in an eight day U.S. Department of Commerce trade mission to Kabul. Since Presidents Obama and Karzai signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement, foreign companies are being recruited to invest in developing Afghanistan’s infrastructure. “After this second trip to Afghanistan, we see a deep need for the services our company offers,” states Blaker. “There are great challenges and opportunities for companies willing to provide support services at the local level.”

TTi Global plans to establish its first office in Kabul and then explore setting up shop in other provinces. Having a base of operation in the country will position their company to support the reconstruction efforts as NATO troops withdrawal.
