Blaker was selected for her extraordinary business accomplishments. Under her leadership the company, started by her father in the basement of their home, now operates on five continents and has offices spanning the globe. Operations are located in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, India, Japan, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, Thailand, Venezuela, UK and most recently Afghanistan.

The company has grown to about $100 million in revenue from $3 million when Blaker took over in 1992. At the time, the company employed 20 people at its lone, Metro Detroit office. Today, TTI employs close to 2,000, and offers a full line of services focused on technical training and staffing.

When asked what about her ‘biggest professional win?’ Blaker replied, “Through a project for Ford Motor Co., TTI established its first international office in 1995-96 in China. This became the "springboard for all our international growth (with) many lessons learned, and refined, country after country."

Blaker acknowledged the significance of inclusion in this important recognition. “To be named as prominent by your business community is very rewarding. I give credit to everyone in my organization that worked towards this achievement.”

Lori Blaker has a long list of professional accomplishments. Last year, Blaker was the recipient of the 2015 Jeffrey Berry Award, the highest award given by Walsh College and received “CEO of CEO” award presented by the BEST of #michbusiness. She has received the "Enterprising Women of the Year Award" from the prestigious Enterprising Women magazine and the “Leader of Leaders” Leadership Award from Leadership Oakland. Previously Blaker was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst & Young.
