American Firm Poised to Invest in Afghanistan Reconstruction Effort, States Lori Blaker, President/CEO of TTi Global

TTi Global secures business license in Afghanistan and prepares to open workforce development operations in Kabul. The company’s investment will provide much needed training for Afghan nationals and assist in the reconstruction efforts of the war-torn country.

Rochester Hills, MI (PRWEB) July 24, 2012

Lori Blaker President/CEO just announced that her company TTi Global has secured its license to do business in Afghanistan. TTi Global was one of 12 U.S. companies to participate in an eight day U.S. Department of Commerce trade mission to Kabul earlier this year.

Blaker said she met government officials and representatives from construction companies, automotive distributors, heavy-truck fleet organizations and mining companies, all who expressed need for trained workers. http://www.trade.gov/press/press-releases/2012/obama-trade-official-leads-business-development-mission-to-afghanistan-021012.asp

“Securing our license is an important step, for our organization to begin vital automotive training inside Afghan. There is a real lack of skilled workforce in the country because of the many years of conflict.” Blaker said.

Earlier this year, Presidents Obama and Karzai signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement cementing relationship between the U.S. and Afghanistan from 2014-2024. Foreign companies are now being recruited to invest in developing Afghanistan’s infrastructure and targeted growth sectors that include; agriculture, mining and power, transport and logistics, low-end manufacturing, telecommunication and construction. http://translations.state.gov/st/english/texttrans/2012/05/201205024897.html#axzz20Enx1lPw

“The more I learned how much Afghanistan needs job skills training the more I uncovered the enormous commercial opportunities that exist.” states Blaker. “As more companies begin to invest in the country, the greater the need for support services will be.”

TTi Global plans on opening its first office in Kabul within the next few months with Blaker herself returning to Kabul in August. Once established in Kabul, Blaker will explore setting up shop in other provinces. “Having a base of operation in the country will position our company to support the surge of transit activity that will occur now that NATO has opened the supply route.”
